MailFoundry Recipient Example

MailFoundry™ by default sends out a single email once a day with a quarantine of any emails that it believes to be spam.  These emails are stored temporarily on the appliances so that the recipient can determine if the message is legitimate.  By default, emails in the quarantine are stored for five days.

The recipient of the quarantine message has 4 options.

  • View - Click to see the email without releasing it into your inbox
  • Release - Click to release the email into your inbox
  • Release and Report - Click to release the email into your inbox and report the email as NOT spam
  • Delete the email - If all the emails in the quarantine are spam, simply delete the email.  It's that easy!

Below is an example of what a recipient would see from the Springs Hosting MailFoundry™ devices if they have quarantined messages.  Notice the three actions that the recipient can take within the email.  If there is no action needed, simply delete the quarantine email.

Click "View" to look at the message in the quarantine, or click "Release" to release a copy of the message from the quarantine and mail it to yourself. Otherwise click "Release & Report" to release a copy of the message from the quarantine and report the message as not spam.
